A COMMUNITY THAT CARES

This identity system concept was designed for the Hawaii Long Term Care Ombudsman. It was created to highlight the core values of the Ombudsman program and to represent trust, friendliness, and “a community that cares”. The main mark features modern and clean design elements yet relates to the original Ombudsman logo of an anthurium heart shaped flower. This identity system concept was awarded the State Long Term Care Ombudsman Executive Office of Aging Award of Merit and Appreciation presented at the 2018 University of Hawaii Art and Art History Department Awards.

“The Hawaii Long Term Care Ombudsman logo symbolizes the caring and compassionate volunteers in Hawaii that truly want to make a difference in their community. The O represents unity and wholeness yet the O is left open to portray vulnerability, honesty, and openness to the heart.”
